Kristen Renner is a determined entrepreneur and educator who has dedicated her career to helping diverse learners reach their full potential. With a background in public education, Kristen saw the need for radical reform in the way that students with dyslexia and language-based learning differences were being taught.
Without any formal education or training in business, Kristen started her own business, Happy Camper Learning Services, which provides educational diagnostic services and tutoring to diverse learners. In response to the strain that the Covid-19 pandemic placed on the education system, she later founded a nonprofit school, Renner Academy, Brazos Valley’s only school that specializes in dyslexia and language-based learning differences.
Kristen is passionate about building a bridge between neuroscience, psychology, and education, and ensuring that all children with dyslexia and other learning differences have access to the tools and support they need to be successful.
Her vision for the future is to continue to expand and find new ways to serve the dyslexic population of the Brazos Valley and to inspire others to push through their own barriers to make a positive impact on their little slice of the world.

Before joining Renner Academy, Kim retired with a distinguished career in public education that spanned over 30 years. During this time, she held various positions, including teacher, assistant principal, principal, and Director of Communications and Special Projects.
Throughout her career, Kim has remained committed to the success of her students. Her passion for education is evident in her leadership style, which is characterized by a focus on student-centered learning and a dedication to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Under her leadership, Renner Academy has continued to grow and thrive, providing students with an excellent education that prepares them for success in their futures.

Jodi Renner is the Managing Director of Renner Academy, one of the many titles she has held since the organization’s founding. With years of experience in team management, sales, customer service, professional development, and human resources, Jodi brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her position.
Seeing the need for someone with Jodi’s expertise, Kristen recruited Jodi shortly after opening Happy Camper Learning Services. After a lifetime of seeing the impact dyslexia had on her own family, Jodi was excited for the opportunity to help families affected by dyslexia. At the time, neither Jodi or Kristen would have imagined that in just a couple short years they’d be founding a nonprofit school together. Jodi was fundamentally involved in the formation of Renner Academy and continues to play a crucial role in managing the daily operations of Renner Academy and Happy Camper Learning Services.
Jodi’s unwavering commitment to improving the lives of families touched by dyslexia drives her continued involvement and leadership within both organizations.
